La Procuradur\u00eda Ad Hoc del caso Lava Jato solicita incluir al partido como tercero civil responsable, exigiendo una reparaci\u00f3n civil de US$238 millones por lavado de activos. Las investigaciones se\u00f1alan que Solidaridad Nacional, ahora Renovaci\u00f3n Popular, habr\u00eda recibido US$200,000 en 2011 y US$500,000 en 2014 de Odebrecht, adem\u00e1s de US$480,000 de OAS en 2014, para la campa\u00f1a municipal de Luis Casta\u00f1eda Lossio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Renovaci\u00f3n Popular, fundado en 2020 por L\u00f3pez Aliaga, rechaza las acusaciones, argumentando que no exist\u00eda como partido en las fechas se\u00f1aladas y niega v\u00ednculos con exmilitantes de Solidaridad Nacional investigados, como Jos\u00e9 Luna G\u00e1lvez. En un comunicado, el partido calific\u00f3 las afirmaciones del fiscal como \u201cfalsas e infundadas\u201d, exigiendo el cese de lo que consideran un uso indebido del cargo para desprestigiarlos. Sin embargo, la continuidad jur\u00eddica entre ambos partidos mantiene a Renovaci\u00f3n Popular bajo escrutinio, mientras el Poder Judicial eval\u00faa su responsabilidad en el caso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por si fuera poco, la Oficina Nacional de Procesos Electorales (ONPE) cuestion\u00f3 en 2024 el uso indebido de fondos p\u00fablicos por parte de Renovaci\u00f3n Popular, incluyendo pagos para promocionar la imagen de L\u00f3pez Aliaga en TikTok y asesor\u00edas legales ligadas a investigaciones por lavado de activos. Estas irregularidades podr\u00edan derivar en sanciones administrativas, intensificando la controversia en torno al partido.
